Engineering 4 Kids - Inflate a Balloon Magically

Make a balloon deflate and inflate without doing anything!

To inflate a balloon you need

a small balloon
a very clean soda bottle
some cut up carrot pieces
some water

Directions:

Put the carrot pieces into the soda bottle.
Add a little water.
Place the small balloon over the mouth of the bottle.
After a few hours, the balloon will get sucked into the bottle.
After two days the balloon will inflate.
